February 10, 2010 - New Vendor info for 2010 Region 6 Pre-Season IBPA fire Support
The Forest Service establishes Pre Season Agreements called IBPA’s (Incident Blanket Purchase agreements) to utilize for incident support. Equipment on these agreements generally includes but is not limited to; Heavy Equipment (dozers, excavators, graders, etc.) Transports, Logging Equipment,(Feller Bunchers, forwarder, etc.), Vehicles w/Drivers, Fuel Trucks, Dump Trucks, ATVs, Logistics Equipment and Medical Equipment.
IBPA’s all personnel operating equipment that has the potential to work on the fireline are required to complete RT-130 Standards for Survival / Annual Fireline Safety Refresher annually. Operators must submit proof of their completion of this course.
February 3, 2010 - New requirements for Water Tender Operators
National Contract has changed (WTO) Water Tender Operators are no longer required to take the Basic Firefighter S-130 and Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior S-190 courses. They have dropped the requirement for the walk test. However: they are still required to take the RT-130 annual firefighter refresher course each year.
